Information was everywhere - at least pieces of it - without being linked together. Various applications required different licenses, creating a management headache for CPI, not to mention their partner companies, which provide career transition and management consulting for candidates on a daily basis. A particular frustration was the inability to post, disseminate or manage information within a single application that also provided calendaring and contact management functions. One partner that experienced this frustration was Kensington International located, near Chicago. Kensington provides executive coaching and outplacement services. For years, Kensington had assembled information on paper and diskettes to distribute to their job-seeking candidates on a weekly basis. This time-consuming and costly manual process proved to be inefficient and often resulted in information discrepancies. According to Ann Richards, Kensington International vice president of administration and technology, candidates found it difficult to navigate from one application to another because of the disunity of the systems. "While the dollar cost wasn't extraordinary in our previous manual process, the lack of efficiency was painful," Richards stated. "We needed a way to improve our communications and streamline how information was distributed." Vital Systems, Inc. ![]() As a research support organization, having to create and maintain a new web site for every clinical trial and project is a costly and labor-intensive investment. For Vital Systems, Inc. of Algonquin, IL, which offers assistance to companies conducting clinical trials for US Food and Drug Administration drug approval submissions, it meant days of writing code, hours spent posting files and reports on the correct site, and extensive expenditures of dollars on teleconferencing. Now, using TeamPoint Systems' DayPoint Enterprise, George Stoms, President of Vital Systems, Inc., reports new studies are up in less than 15 minutes, overhead is down, and research security is tighter than ever.   "I am able to put a new project up in, literally, minutes, quickly customize DayPoint for each of our clients, and immediately have investigators (doctors), sponsor employees, and authorized project team members worldwide posting their files directly onto a project website hosted securely within our IT environment," Stoms explains. "This is saving me labor and time while streamlining use of the site for participating researchers. Bottom line, DayPoint Enterprise has dramatically decreased my costs while maintaining patient confidentiality, increased the quality of services I can offer my clients, and allowed me to be on the cutting edge in pharmaceutical research development."   Willow Creek Community Church ![]() By 2002, Willow Creek Community Church's dynamic youth ministry had grown into nearly 100 ministries serving the spiritual, physical, and relational needs of over 17,000 members - and a massive communications challenge for staff and volunteers. According to Mike Gold, Chief Technical Officer, just sharing documents, calendars and schedules among employees and members, not to mention other churches and mission organizations worldwide, was testing the good will of all involved.   After exploring collaborative options, Willow Creek installed DayPoint on its server and began using the application to expedite daily information sharing. Two years later, the church maintains 12 active portals for users logging in from home, work or even on vacation 24/7.   Area Education Agency 267 ![]() Covering over 9,000 square miles and serving more than 69,000 students throughout Iowa, including 61 public school districts and 24 non-public school districts, Area Education Agency 267 (AEA 267) is an intermediate agency focused on improved student learning. AEA 267 works with educators, parents and the communities it serves by providing support in three areas: Educational Services, Information & Technology and Special Education. AEA 267 turned to TeamPoint Systems' DayPoint Enterprise team collaboration software to keep track of the special education staff as they report to schools throughout the agency's large service area and provide students with services to meet their educational needs.   |
